NAMES
LANGUST's
transcription (LAFON) is used for correct phonetic reflection of the various
names. Names are inserted into the text with use of a mark "~ " in the
beginning of the name and in the end, and the name is also framed with brackets
of that kind, which is required by a context. The mark (`) softens a sound which
it precedes and the mark (") doubles the sound. The apostrophe (') is used
for a designation of an accent and is put before the vowel. The phonetics for
names is formed by lower case letters of the Latin alphabet, except for the
first letter of the name, where the use of capital letters is supposed. The
double letters form a new sound.
Certainly
sounds may have a little bit different pronunciation in different languages, but
these differences not so are essential for the majority of them, as it might be
for some specific sounds of some languages. For these sounds are presented by
double symbols and as it is visible from the table, it is possible still to add
many such sounds. Thus, the pronunciation of lower case letters coincide with
appropriate capital in LANGUST and double coincide only for vowels. It is
necessary to put an accent, that is an important condition for a correct
pronunciation of a name. Geographical names will sound in national phonetics.
